What We’re Looking For

Internships

Among other activities, interns at Reputation Architects are responsible for:

  • Conducting research for clients, business development and agency thought leadership
  • Writing compelling press releases, media pitches, articles, social media posts and other materials
  • Compiling and analyzing media coverage
  • Coordinating projects with graphic designers, photographers and other partners
  • Helping to plan client meetings and media events
  • Assisting with client, administrative and general office support tasks as needed

We look for interns who are creative, organized, reliable, passionate about their work and demonstrate:

  • A strong interest in strategic communications and reputation management
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including a working knowledge of AP style
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to respond to changing deadlines and priorities
  • A superior academic track record
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferably in a Mac environment
Account Executive

Account executives will have at least two years’ experience in communications, preferably in an agency setting or applicable industry such as professional services, healthcare, financial services or technology. Among other responsibilities, account executives:

  • Work on projects from concept through completion working directly with client contacts
  • Conduct research for client and new business presentations
  • Cultivate relationships with media, identify story angles and successfully pitch them to reporters
  • Keep abreast of trends and competitive issues in client industries and counsel clients on emerging risks and opportunities
  • Write, edit and proofread materials for quality, consistency and appropriate style
  • Coordinate the work of graphic designers, photographers, printers and other partners
  • Plan and manage client meetings and events
  • Handle administrative details and reporting for one or more accounts
  • Contribute to business development, including identifying new business opportunities and helping to promote Reputation Architects to prospective clients

In addition to a passion for communications, learning and professional growth, the qualities we seek in candidates include:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related discipline
  • Outstanding research, writing, editing and proofreading skills, including a working knowledge of AP style
  • Excellent communications and news instincts
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferably in a Mac Joenvironment
  • Working knowledge of Cision, WordPress, HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Google Analytics or other SEO/SEM tools is a plus
Account Coordinator

Account coordinators have at least six months of experience (including relevant internships) in an agency, corporate, non-profit or media setting. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research for clients, new business and agency thought leadership
  • Providing client service assistance, including scheduling, logistical and other support
  • Assisting with general administrative and office support as needed
  • Compiling and analyzing media coverage, social media traffic and competitive intelligence
  • Writing compelling, high-quality media materials, pitches, blog posts, articles and social content
  • Developing media lists, cultivating relationships with media and conducting outreach on a wide range of topics
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of social media content and campaigns
  • Coordinating the work of graphic designers, videographers, photographers and other agency partners
  • Identifying and pursuing speaking and award opportunities
  • Staying on top of emerging communications trends and news in client industries
  • Contributing creative, on-strategy ideas and insights for client programs

In addition to a passion for communications, learning and professional growth, the qualities we seek in candidates include:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related discipline
  • Outstanding research, writing, editing and proofreading skills, including a working knowledge of AP style
  • Excellent communications and news instincts
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferably in a Mac environment

Senior Account Executive

Senior account executives have at least four years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields. Among other responsibilities, they are expected to:

  • Serve as the day-to-day client contact for one or more clients
  • Manage client and agency projects from concept through completion with minimal oversight
  • Develop and manage the execution of client plans
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in media relations, including media targeting, message development, pitching and spokesperson coaching
  • Keep abreast of trends and competitive issues in client industries to identify and counsel clients on emerging opportunities and risks
  • Oversee work of junior staff to ensure quality and provide constructive feedback on performance
  • Write, edit and proofread materials for quality, consistency and appropriate style
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure profitability and sound use of client and agency resources
  • Contribute to business development, including identifying new business opportunities and helping to promote Reputation Architects to prospective clients
